My journey with WhereCity in 2010 was a revelation, introducing me to the digital landscape before terms like “social media” were commonplace. Under Akhil and Karen’s guidance, I explored Mumbai’s oldest eateries, created a blog, and learned the foundations of SEO. The experience extended to managing WhereCity’s Facebook page, where I experimented with new features and content strategies. This allowed me to explore Mumbai while immersing myself in the possibilities of the internet, instilling a spirit of curiosity and innovation that continues to fuel my work today. I’m forever grateful to Akhil and Karen for giving a freshly graduated engineer a chance to live his dream.

I worked as Editor for WhereCity from 2006-2010. Akhil was a great leader to work with. He gave us a good balance of freedom and guidance to work on our beats. We worked with a number of corporate and other entities in the field of cinema, theatre, the food industry and emerging digital tech, including vMobo. All in all, it was a great experience and left me with wonderful memories of the beautiful office and the incredible team.
